How can we help?

Write to andersonalves.tech@gmail.com with your iPhone model, your computer’s system (macOS or Windows, with the version) and what happened. We reply within two business days (in English, Portuguese or Spanish).

Open a support request

Tell us what happened and we’ll reply here and by e-mail. The more detail, the faster we can fix it.

You get a private link to follow the conversation. We never ask for video or audio.

Getting started

  1. On the computer (Mac or Windows), open BEHOLD Link, choose the app (or all audio, or the audio input) and click Start audio.
  2. On the iPhone, open BEHOLD Camera and plug in the USB cable, or tap the connection pill at the bottom and choose your computer.
  3. When the dot turns green, press REC.

The iPhone can’t find the computer

The computer’s meter doesn’t move

BEHOLD Link on Windows

You see "No audio in this part"

The network was down for more than 10 seconds. The video keeps recording normally; only that part is missing your rig’s sound. Move the iPhone closer to the router, use the 5 GHz network or, better yet, connect the iPhone to the Mac with the cable.

You see "Recording with the iPhone microphone"

You started recording with no computer sending audio, so the video uses the iPhone’s own microphone (or an audio interface plugged into it). To use your rig’s sound, connect to BEHOLD Link before recording.

Using an audio interface on the iPhone

Plug the interface (iRig, Roland GO:MIXER and others) into the iPhone and open BEHOLD Camera without connecting to the Mac. The interface name and the sound level appear on screen. If you see "Clipping", turn the volume down on the interface or the mixer.

Send diagnostics

In the iPhone app, tap ⓘ › Send diagnostics to support and tell us what happened. Only technical information is included (never video or audio), which helps us fix things much faster.

The iPhone got hot

Long 4K recordings, in the sun or inside thick cases heat the phone up, even more if it’s charging over the cable at the same time. Prefer 1080p, remove the case and avoid direct light.
